Games Categories

In Physical Education, the games that are played to teach students different skills fall under various categories. These categories differ based on which skills are taught and how the game is played. Each game can be applied to one of three cycles in Elementary school, and each level becomes more difficult than the next. In order to adapt each game to the appropriate cycle and age level, physical educators use task progressions to slowly move up the difficulty level. In other words, each game starts off simple, and through the progressions, more layers are added to increase the difficulty of the game. Also, every game falls under s specific Competency in the Quebec Education Program, therefore focusing on different aspects and goals thats need to be attained throughout the learnings.
