Evaluation

In Physical Education, there are three evaluation criteria that are applied to all three competencies.

Coherent Planning

  • Children are evaluated on being able to make a logical plan that is appropriate for themselves and possibly their peers by taking into consideration various aspects such as the task at hand, the limitations, the environment, the materials available, etc.

Effective Implementation
  • After setting out a plan that is coherent, the students must be able to properly use what they have set out to do. In other words, they have to follow through with their plan and ensure that everything is done well.

Relevant Reflection
  • Finally, the students have to evaluate themselves and their entire process by looking back and assessing their results. They need to be able to tell if their plan was not coherent, or that it was not implemented properly. They also need to provide explanations as to why this is the case and find solutions so that those problems could be fixed.
